Welcome Back Students!

Welcome back to all the Students,

I am sure that everyone had a great summer, and for the 6th grade students it will get even better.

The 6th grade Outdoor school is slowly approaching. The site will again be the Sandy River outdoor school from November 2nd to November 7th. I will be sending information home on Friday, September 5th so make sure you check those back packs.

The site supervisor is giving a presentation on Monday, September 8th in our 6th grade science class from 10:45am to 11:45am. You are welcome to attend and see some photos of the Sandy River outdoor school. If you have any questions about outdoor school contact me. This is a truly fantastic experience for our 6th graders at St. John Fisher. We are weeks away so we have plenty of time to get the students ready.

To the 7th grade parents; The 7th grade class need chaperones for a nature and tree identification hike at the Hoyt Arboretum on Tuesday, September 23rd. This will be a guided tour. We will leave the school by car at 9 am and be back by 1 pm. We will have lunch in the woods and at this time of the year with God's blessing, it is still somewhat dry. This is going to be a great hike. I will need about 6 chaperones that can drive and spend a few hours in the beautiful woods. This is an easy hike at a snails pace. Information will be coming home soon.

Thank you,

Steve Olekas
