SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO

Everything You Wanted To Know

Week of March 7, 2011

As I walked in Monday morning, the smell of delicious spaghetti sauce looming in the halls brought me back to the delicious Spaghetti Dinner the night before.   I wanted to say a big “Thank You” to all who volunteered to make this event happen.  Although I cannot list all 120 volunteers who helped make this event such a success, I would like to give special recognition to the chairs of the event.  Thanks for celebrating our parish and school communities!

·         Chair: Terri Strauss

·         Committee Members: Kathleen Birrell and Kathleen O’Donnell

·         Take Out Chair: Kim Krippaehne

·         Decorations Chair: Kenzie D’Ambrosio

·         Raffle Chair: Jennifer Miller

·         Tickets/Communication: Janie Grant

·         Volunteer Coordinator: Stephanie LaRivere Miller

Tomorrow marks the end of our second trimester in school.  Report cards will be sent home with the children on Thursday, March 17th.  It’s hard to believe we are already 2/3 finished with the year!

On Monday we will have some new “sheriffs” in town.  Fifth grade student Maddy Harris and seventh grade student Savannah Harris will be “Principals for a Day.”  Please see their declaration attached for further details of their “new rules” during that week…especially if you have a child in fifth or seventh grade.

Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30 is our school-wide Literary Fair!  Feel free to bring family and friends as the students showcase projects they have been working on during the course of the year.

On Thursday, in our most festive St. Patrick’s style, we will welcome our 2011-12 kindergarten class for a craft activity with Mrs. McGinty and Mrs. Beckers from 10:30-11:30.  We currently have spots available for next year’s kindergarten so if you know of any interested families, please feel free to invite them!  Additionally, that afternoon we will kick off our Jogathon with an assembly at 1:30.  Details regarding the event will be in next week’s SAM and in your student sponsor packet that will come home.

Have a great weekend!

Merrit Holub

Principal
