Goals

The students of St. John Fisher School will:

  • Spiritual Goals
    • come to know and value the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ as taught by the Catholic Church through the Holy Scriptures and the Traditions of Faith.
    • Find God in their lives through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ which expresses itself in prayer, worship, deeds of service and Christian behavior.
  • Intellectual Goals
    • attain proficiency in the basics of Christ and his Church, mathematics, English, reading, science, spelling, social studies, music, physical education and computer skills.
    • each attain skills and knowledge to the maximum of their potential
  • Psychological Goals
    • develop a positive self-image and sense of self worth.
    • feel safe, welcome, and accepted at school.
  • Community Service Goals
    • develop an awareness of the needs of others and a willingness to help, using Christ as a model.
  • Social Goals
    • accept responsibility for their actions and recognize how their actions affect others.
    • exhibit respect for self, others and the environment.
  • Physical Goals
    • recognize the components, value and practice of a healthy life style.
  • Cultural Goals
    • appreciate performing and fine arts, as well as contributions of various artists, through personal creative process and study.
    • develop an understanding of and respect for diverse cultures.
