4th Grade Parents/Guardians

September 2, 2008

Dear Parents or Guardians,

I am looking forward to having your child in class this year. We are going to have a fun and exciting school year. You are invited to be an active member of our classroom community. I really encourage you to participate in your child's education both at home and at school.

It is my wish that we work together as a team to benefit your child. Your child's well-being is a priority of mine and I would like to establish open communication with you. Please call or e-mail me anytime. You can help me out a great deal by informing me of any pertinent information about your child. For example, it would be helpful to know about any behavior or learning challenges, health problems, etc. that might relate to your child this school year.

I look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night on September 16th. We will discuss academic and behavioral expectations, policies and procedures, curriculum, homework, communication and more. Handouts will be given out since we don't have time to go over everything. You will have an opportunity to ask me questions and offer your feedback.

I am really excited about this school year. Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss the upcoming school year.

Sincerely,

Amy Lawrence
